Who is Trucking Careers of America LLC?

TCA is registered with the State of Georgia as an LLC company. We have been in business for almost 8 years. We are an independent recruiting, consulting and job placement company that specializes in the trucking industry. Our clients are CDL students, recent CDL graduates, CDL drivers needing a refresher course and experienced CDL drivers. Additional information is available in About Us.

What can TCA do for me?

TCA has relationships with many trucking companies and accredited independent CDL training schools across the U.S. We make it a priority to know which companies are hiring, which type(s) of drivers they are hiring, what their requirements are and how to go about getting you placed. We know how to expedite your placement and what these companies are specifically looking for in their applicants. We mentor you and coach you all along the way, and if you meet company qualifications, you will almost certainly be hired right away.

How much will your services cost me?

Our services will never cost you anything. We are paid by the trucking company that hires you.

What services do you provide?

We are in regular communication with you and are always available to assist you. We work closely with you to fulfill whatever your needs and objectives are depending on your CDL Class A status and your driving experience. Along with your application to a trucking company, we include all the required documents and/or information so we can expedite review of your application and finalize your hiring status. We ensure that your transportation and lodging arrangements have been made. We make sure that all arrangements are in place for you to complete your training and for students, to begin your new career.

How do I know you can get me a job?

If you have met the qualifications and the information you provided is accurate and truthful, we will be able to place you. Even in this ever-changing industry climate, we know which companies are hiring, and which are not, and we know when companies close certain hiring zones and/or open or re-open new hiring zones. Essentially, we are fully informed of what is happening in the trucking industry at any given time.

How long does the training take?

If you are a student in a paid CDL training program, training takes approximately 3 weeks. If you are a recent CDL graduate, orientation takes about 3-5 days.

How long is it before I begin earning money?

If you are a student, you will be paid a training income when you reach a certain level of training. Upon completion of your training you then go on the company payroll.

What is the difference between an independent CDL school and a company paid sponsored CDL training program?

It's important to do your due diligence when researching either an independent CDL school or a company that offers sponsored CDL training. There are three ways to get your CDL Class A License:

(1) Attend a non-company sponsored truck driving school at your own expense*
(2) Find a company sponsored training program on your own **
(3) Let TCA represent you ***

*Option 1:

(1) An independent CDL school will cost between $2,995 - $6,000+
(2) If you are not considered as creditworthy, you will need a co-signer
(3) Most schools offer no job placement services
(4) Some schools are not accredited and therefore not recognized by trucking companies
(5) Some schools are negligent in advising an applicant that he/she may not be eligible for hire
(6) There is no employment contract

**Option 2:

(1) If you don't complete the company paid training program, you may owe money back to the company
(2) You are required to sign an employment contract for one year or longer
(3) If you don't fulfill the contract obligation, you are responsible to reimburse the company for training expenses

***Option 3:

(1) TCA has diligently researched a number of accredited CDL schools for recommendation
(2) TCA coordinates with both the school(s) and you to ensure job placement
(3) These schools are accredited, enjoy excellent reputations and are reasonably priced
(4) They frequently offer 1-1 training if needed
(5) They experience a high ratio of referrals by graduating students to new students
